Today there was a wind storm in Western New York. I’m not sure if there was in other places or not, but ours was BAD. I thought my daughter had school today, so I got her all ready, and the moment I opened the screen door the wind pulled it right out of my hand! Our power went out shortly after I left for my job interview at about 10 a.m. Driving to my interview was terrifying because not only was the wind making it hard to drive, but the power lines and trees were blowing like crazy. I thought for sure something was gonna fall on my car. My interview went okay, by the way. I didn’t got the job I wanted because of my availability, but I did get another job within the company. I start next week. Back to the wind storm though. I got home about noon and the power JUST came back on. Fast forward to 4 and the power is out again. Three kids and no power when it’s getting dark out is not fun. I had to order pizza since I couldn’t cook. I also got a new TV delivered, so they had to deliver it to a dark house. National Grid finally got the power back on around 5:30. It’s been on since, but with the wind and rain outside, I think it will more than likely go out again over night. Did anyone else have power outages and/or face the wind storm today?
